Corcovado Overnight Tour Itinerary

7:15 am – Morning Wildlife Viewing and Monkeys

Your tour starts early with a walk into the park. You’ll likely hear and see howler monkeys, spider monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws as they become active in the morning.

Rio Pargo Trail

Walk On the Rio Pargo trails, keep an eye out for wildlife such as agoutis and white-faced capuchin monkeys. The trails pass through open areas and shaded forest where animals are often spotted.

Lunch is delivered by our staff 

Enjoy lunch while your guide shares information about the area. During the meal, you may see coatis or peccaries moving nearby.

Late Afternoon – Arrival at Camp

As daylight fades, reach the overnight camp area located in primary forest known for jaguars (though sightings are rare). Settle into the campsite surrounded by old-growth trees.

Dinner at Camp

Dinner will be prepared and served by the tour staff. After eating, relax in the provided hammocks and listen to the nighttime forest sounds.

Night Walk

Join a guided night walk to observe nocturnal animals, such as frogs and owls, that become active after dark.

Next Morning – Return Walk

Wake up to morning bird calls and monkey sounds. Hike back toward the Lodge, stopping to see a large ancient tree with a hollow interior along the way.

Return to Lodge and Departure

Arrive back at the Lodge in time to use the overnight shower facilities available there. After showering, have lunch at the lodge before boarding the 1:30 pm boat departure
